Dear All,
I am writing to you today about the future of Noteb.com, a project born in 2015 out of a fondness for laptops. My goal was to create a powerful search tool to assist every individual in finding the right laptop quickly and easily. I envisioned Noteb.com as a trusted, independent reference point for laptop information, which, in time, could grow to cover most electronics, much like Wikipedia is for general knowledge.
Building Noteb.com was a complicated process. We had to design a system that could sift through millions of records in seconds while continuously providing correct technical specifications and prices. Ultimately, we built our in-house search engine capable of handling all these tasks.
However, we are still facing several challenges, the most considerable being sourcing adequate funding to support this project. As the founder, I’ve invested funds and expended immense personal time on this project. Yet, the website generates revenue that only covers a fraction of its operating costs. We need at least $70,000 annually to continue operating, and we no longer have this kind of money.
Given all these factors, I’m sorry to say I can’t keep this website running unless, through some miracle, I manage to cover our operation costs for the following year. The most likely scenario is that I’ll shut down its servers permanently from May 2025.
