NVIDIA Studio
Since the launch of NVIDIA RTX video cards in September 2018, except for the noticeable performance gains, there have been no other real benefits for workstation and high-performance laptops. Recently Nvidia launched “NVIDIA Studio”, a program that certifies high-performance laptops for content creation. In itself, the program does not change the usability of a laptop, but it helps users and retailers better understand what laptop suits their needs. To be qualified to join NVIDIA Studio, laptops must meet some minimum specifications – a high-end CPU and a high-end ray tracing capable NVIDIA GPU.
NVIDIA Creator Driver
Since many people buy gaming laptops to use them for content creation, Nvidia released a new type of driver, called “Creator Ready Drivers” specially optimised for content creation. Now, when users want to update their drivers, they can choose between updating to “Game Ready Driver” or “Studio Driver”. The newest NVIDIA Studio Driver provides optimal support and better performance for the latest releases of top creative apps, including Autodesk Maya 2019, 3ds Max 2020, Arnold 5.3.1.0, Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve 16, and Daz 3D Daz Studio and more.
There are already some laptops available on the market:
